About Godspell
Godspell, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz ('Wicked'), is a contemporary interpretation of the Gospel according to Matthew, taking us from Jesus' baptism by John to the crucifixion.
This fabulous celebration of community, tolerance and love in difficult times has something for everyone (young or old, religious or otherwise), and is a fitting choice to celebrate The Arcadians' 40th anniversary year.
Its toe-tapping music includes the hit songs 'Day by Day' and 'By My Side', and it will feature a 40-strong cast from ages 8 to 85. Set against a Birmingham backdrop, the Arcadians will also bring a local flavour to the story.
Come and see for yourself!
