About The Arcadians

Founded in 1971, The Arcadians is an amateur musical theatre company, with charitable status, based in Selly Oak, Birmingham.  We have adult members of all ages (and from time to time invite younger cast members to join us, where shows require children).

The Arcadians typically produce two musicals each year, at the Midlands Arts Centre (MAC), Birmingham, but also look for opportunities to perform in concerts or other events in between productions, and regularly fundraise for other local good causes.

Who are we?

We are a really friendly musical theatre society who love theatre and offer a warm welcome to any like-minded people who don’t mind hard work mixed with good fun and are willing to “give it a go!”   We have regular social evenings and after rehearsals many members finish the evening with a trip to the local drinking establishment.  We are always looking for fresh talent – singers, dancers, backstage crew and front of house staff.  Why not come and join us

Rehearsals

We rehearse on Tuesdays at St Mary’s Church Hall, Selly Oak, Birmingham from 7.30pm onwards.

This venue is found just off the Bristol Road, at post code B29 6ND.  The hall is located by taking the drive to the left on the approach to the church.
